The RockStop’er PRO
Sensor Unit

The Sensor mounting stud permits the sensor “position” or “angle” to be adjusted. The Sensor angle determines the threshold at which the sensor will emit a signal due to feed roll movement. To adjust the Sensor angle, slightly loosen the locknut, rotate the sensor to adjust the desired sensivity range. Then retighten the lock nut.
Figures 1, 2 and 3 show various sensor positions relative to the upper front feedroll direction of displacement (indicated by red arrows).
Sensor positioned perpendicular to the displacement travel of the front upper feedroll is the most sensitive setting for the sensor. (Fig. 1)
Sensor positioned almost vertical or parallel to the displacement travel of the front upper feedroll is the least sensitive setting for the sensor. (Fig. 3)
The Sensor may be positioned anywhere between the Maximum and Minimum sensitivity settings (ie Fig.2)

The grey circles represent the front upper and lower feedrolls.
The upper front roll moves up and down against spring force as it grabs, feeds, and compresses the varying volume of crop material. The sensor is mounted to the framework (often the gearbox) that supports the upper feed roll as close to center of the roll as reasonably possible.
